The way to Santiago, part 3
ok, a lot of new things have happened in the last few days...
After injuring my Achilles tendon, I had to slow down the pace. Great coincidence because I've met some fantastic people in the cozy albergue (hostel) of the small village of Grañon. That is where I've foun my faourite albergue... it's located in an old church where you only have to climb a few steps to ring the masive bells at the top. We all st down at the long table to share food, wine, stories and a bit of ourselvess.
Walking the camino (way or chemin) has really been different from that day onward. I have learned to enjoy every single moment of the walk and especially when we are not walking...
So, I've been sharing those special days with :
Perla from Italy and her dog Lola... what a fantastic couple!!!
Lidia from Portugal whom we never got bored of listening to her singing Fado or to watch her while she's walking (she walks very well indeed :-)
Kiko from St-Georges de Beauce in Quebec who spends most of his time playing guitare for the pleasure of our ears
Juan-Luis, a veteran of the camino, who always reminds us that it is time to stop for a little "vino tinto" or a "cervezita"
Unfortunately, I had to leave them in Burgos to continue my camino on my own... but I had the most fantastic time with them!!!!
Thank you Kike for presenting me your parents in Burgos, it was a real pleasure to meet them!!!
un abrazo muy fuerte a todos
I will continue my walk from the entrance of Galicia since I have ran out time...
